Nativity Set village

As of 1909, Fulpmes has traditionally been known as the Tyrolean “Nativity Set Village”: an outstanding distinction that has always been borne with pride. The inauguration of the Fulpmes/Stubaital Tyrolean Nativity Set Museum thus constitutes one of the local highlights. Located in the heart of the village, opposite the church and housed by the 500 year old “Platzwirt”, the Museum proudly offers a wide selection of traditional, historically valuable nativity sets on display.

ome and enjoy discovering the treasures that the local “Nativity Set Supporters Association” have set aside for you:

• nativity sets by the Old Masters
• artistic nativity sets
• ongoing works by the “Nativity Set Supporters Association” members
• famous “Spy hole nativity sets”
• walk-through nativity sets, and
• church nativity set labyrinth.

The museum’s modern concept furthermore offers an overall insight on the local history of the origins, folklore and culture, techniques and nativity set construction methods.
