Nativity Set Supporters Association

The Fulpmes nativity set construction tradition dates back to the start of the18th Century. Year 1909 saw the foundation of the local "Fulpmes Nativity Set Supporters Association". The original founders were furthermore authoritatively involved in the foundation of the Tyrolean State nativity set association in the same year.

Active and excellent wood-carver members such as Johann Gwercher and Raimund Parigger left their mark throughout the first association decades. The Association was then provided with fresh impetus after the 2nd world war thanks to the nativity set carving courses held by Johann Aichner and Johann Larl.

For the first time, wood-carving students, were exposing 1953 in this house, called at this time: Platzwirt. Since 1960, Stefan Lanthaler is leading the Nativity carving courses
